Wedding Bagpiper: Katie’s Love Story
“Oh my”, gasped Katie as she opened the small wooden casket. The ring had an extraordinary luster! It was Landon and Katie’s 5th wedding anniversary. Though the couple had been through their fair share of ups and downs, their bond had only grown deeper and stronger with time. Katie was overwhelmed with emotions and just she was about to thank the love of her life, Landon caught her in a warm embrace.
Their love story was no less than a fairytale – boy falls hard for the girl and the girl reciprocates the love in equal measure!
It was actually Katie’s voice that Landon had fallen for in the first instance. Katie had sung ‘Amazing Grace’ with the bagpiper music in the background on Memorial Day at college – both of them went to the University of Toronto where Katie was a music scholar and Landon a student of biochemistry. Katie was also a skilled flutist and a student of Dan the Bagpiper. It wasn’t until Katie’s performance that Landon came to know about her but little did he know that he was in for tough competition. Katie had many admirers courtesy her stunning looks, feminine grace, and hypnotic voice. Lady luck, however, favored our Landon who happened to save our leading lady from what could have been a serious, life-threatening accident. The duo’s journey of getting to know each other began from this point onwards. Though they both had a different take on life, they converged at many points. Both shared the same family values and relationship goals. As time passed by, the two became inseparable and marriage became inevitable. 8 months into dating each other, Landon proposed to his lady love. It was a sunny winter morning in Toronto when the couple, amidst a crowd of 80 people said “I do” to each other and became man and wife forever. Everybody had their eyes transfixed on the couple for these two were truly made for each other! Theirs was a beautiful wedding with Dan the bagpiper playing Katie’s favourite ‘Amazing Grace’, among many other foot-tapping numbers. All the guests hit the dance floor and did not leave until sunset. The couple departed with a lot of greetings, wishes, and gifts from their loved ones.
Today, Katie and Landon are parents to a beautiful baby girl, Kiara. She has brought a lot of joy into their lives and strengthened their bond of love.
