GTA Bagpiper – Wedding Recessional
Linda Hudson was a fountain of positivity. Despite life’s hardships, she had remained hopeful and optimistic. Spiritually inclined and artistically gifted, she was admired by many for her virtuosity and emotional strength. So, when she fell for the quiet, sombre, atheist Stuart Gray, everyone was shocked. There were many who tried to talk her out of marrying him but Linda was a strong-willed woman. She resisted and won.
And, the wedding day arrived.
As soon as the clergy pronounced the bride and the groom, husband and wife, Dan, the bagpiper from Greater Toronto Area, started to play his bagpipe. He had been especially invited to play the bagpipe for the wedding recessional. The newly married couple looked tearfully into each other’s eyes and began walking towards exit. They were followed by the ring bearers and flower girls, then the maid of honour and best man and the bridesmaids and the groomsmen. Once the entire bridal party had exited the wedding hall, the couple’s parents and rest of the family rose from their seat to leave the place. The clergy then requested the guests present to move to the reception hall.
The reception hall was adorned with flowers, balloons, ribbons and other decorations. Dan’s bagpiping earned him a thundering applause. The wedding recessional couldn’t have been more beautiful. Now, it was time for some loud music and dance! Everyone had put on their dancing shoes!! The newly married couple also took to the dance floor and mesmerized everyone. All the guests had an incredible time twisting and turning to the rhythmic beats and electronic sounds. The celebration continued until late into the evening. The guests left the hall with smiles on their faces and blessings, wishes and gifts for the newly married couple.
It has been 3 years since Linda and Stuart got married. Contrary to what people may say or believe, they continue to live happily with each other.
